When I was in high school it was really cool to give your girlfriend a promise ring. It’s ridiculous that people would make a promise like that at that age. It doesn’t make sense to promise someone that you will marry them when you’re that young. There was a friend of mine named stephen that gave his girlfriend ashley a promise ring after 1 year of dating. After he gave it to her, things changed for the worse. She quickly had a change of heart and started dating another guy the next week. She really wasn’t as popular as she thought she was. A friend named julian also gave a promise ring to his girlfriend. As you’d guess, they didn’t last much longer.

You’d be surprised to find out that most don’t know what promise rings are? Promise rings are a promise to marry your girlfriend or boyfriend. Engagement rings are expensive so people give promise rings instead. I have found that promise rings for her are pretty cheap compared to engagement rings. I have found that it’s usually the guys that buy the rings for the girls but it’s also common for girls to get one for the guy. You don’t see that much these days but in the beginning girls would definitely buy one if they felt like they should.

A lot of people confuse purity rings and promise rings. Honestly, the rings share a simple meaning of commitment. The meaning of each ring is different but the fact is that commitment is relevant to both. You give a purity ring when you make a commitment to purity. Couples use promise rings to show that they’re commited to getting married. So they have plenty of differences.

After browsing around, i found tons of sites that sell both types of rings. Of the good ones, the best was cornerstone jewelry. They seemed to have a great collection of promise rings and purity rings. I even found a beautiful ring for my wife.

As a child i would collect different pieces of jewelry. Pirates were a big deal back then so my friends and i would setup fake treasure hunts. We would both hide the jewelry in different backyards. Sometimes we would even bury the jewelry and act like pirates. One time we did this, my friend took his sister’s collection of promise rings and placed it under ground. We spent hours searching and had to give up. We kept it a big secret within our group of friends. My dad had told my friend to buy his girlfriend a promise ring. We found it really strange that they would suggest something like that, but weirder things have happened i guess. It’s crazy, but the promise ring is the reason they broke up.

No one i know has successfully given a promise ring and gotten married. There’s no telling if it will really do its job. Jewelry is usually a lame gift so i wouldn’t really suggest getting it for someone. 4GNsdDdD2v
